Approaching 2010 holidaycars.com is growing into one of the world’s biggest players for its customers in the field of online car rental. The company exists for a decade, with its products reaching all customers of all major languages, totaling in number of three billion. “A new website and a more efficient online strategy are mutually reinforcing, where half of the world can benefit from our concept.” said Robbert Jan Meerpoel, director of holidaycars.com, looking ahead to the coming year.

He refers to Belgium, South Africa, Brazil, Turkey, Italy, Scandinavia and China, countries within which holidaycars.com already has representative offices operating. “We serve primary markets intensively. After we set up our local offices, we saw a sharp increase soon in customer bookings. Now many more consumers worldwide can get familiar with our concept, so it is realistic to forecast that a significant further increase will be achieved in 2010,” said Meerpoel.
Rental car industry recovery coming year
Furthermore Meerpoel expects that the rental car industry in the travel branch will start recovering in 2010. “Of course we are aware of the limited availability of rental cars in countries around the Mediterranean Sea. In mid January we are starting a massive early-bird booking campaign among our customers. If we consider the number of bookings in the last quarter of 2009 and the forecasts of our customers for the new year, we are optimistic about the future of online car rental products.”
